Under U.S. copyright law, the copyrights of most works generally expire 95 years after publication. The {{Not-PD-US-expired-min-year}} template is used on the w:en:Copyright law of the United States article and various public domain copyright templates (template links) to calculate 95 years ago.

The template takes no parameters:

Note that like other date-computing templates based on current time, the same date can be shown for up to a week on a page since Wikisource caches pages and only re-renders them under one of the follow circumstances:

  1. Someone visits the page and it has not been re-rendered in a week.
  2. Someone visits the page and manually purges or edits it.
